Admissions & Entry Requirements
Prior to applying
Whilst we are enthusiastic in welcoming external applicants to study here at Kings Langley Sixth Form, we prioritise places for students from Yr11 at Kings Langley School for places at our sixth form. We offer two broad study pathways, with the minimum entry requirements score based on the applicants best six grades of 30 for Pathway Three and a minimum score of 36 for Pathway Four. Students then need to meet the entry requirements for each A Level subject they wish to study.
The Process
We understand that subject choices may change between declaring an interest and results day. Students will have the opportunity to change their subject choices as long as they meet the subject requirements and fit the options blocks. This is subject to space being available on the course.
Students who have not achieved a level 5 grade in Maths and/or English at GCSE level will be provided with the opportunity to attend re-sit lessons. Those students who achieved a level 3 grade or below this will be compulsory. At Kings Langley we invest in our students by ‘future proofing’ as this grade pass is a requirement for most Higher Education and employment options.
After Application
In June there is an Induction Day for all Sixth Form applicants.
