Student Leadership Team

At Kings Langley School, we believe that all students have tremendous potential to make a positive difference, not only to benefit themselves, but also their school and wider communities. The opinions of students are essential to the school’s development, and regular focus groups of students take place to gather their views on a range of issues including teaching and learning, transition, behaviour, home-learning and safeguarding, as well as school improvement planning. Student Voice plays a central part in the life of the school and we encourage our young people to take an active role in the Student Leadership Team, as well as many other established ambassadorial and community opportunities. For further information regarding the School council please, contact Mrs L Harris (Principal Assistant Headteacher)

The Student Leadership Challenge 2023

Student leadership is about empowering young people to develop ownership, understand responsibility, cultivate life skills, and contribute to the school community.  Leadership is self-development as well as providing support for others.  It provides opportunities for young people to build relationships, define their identity and to accomplish tasks effectively through employing skills beyond purely academic knowledge.

We invite students from across the school community to participate in The Student Leadership Challenge where they can exercise their leadership potential, develop their voice, and to role model to the wider school community.  For this challenge, we are looking for students to lead of projects that model, inspire, challenge, enable and encourage.  The Student Leadership Challenge is designed to encourage all students to consider their leadership potential, whether they are an existing student leader or have aspirations of becoming one.
