Kings Langley Sixth Form aim is to provide an excellent educational experience. We believe in high academic standards alongside a caring and inclusive environment. We are very proud of the hard work our students put into their studies but equally their involvement in enrichment activities and the fact they are role models to our younger students. The modern world is highly competitive and we equip our sixth formers with the skills, confidence and courage needed to move on to higher education, higher apprenticeship or employment. We are proud of our students past and present. The majority of our students go on to take up places from a wide range of institutions including Oxbridge and Russell Group universities as well as apprenticeship programmes.
Pupils speak positively about the school and value the high level of support given by staff: “The staff will do anything to help you succeed, nothing is too much trouble.”
Kings Langley offer a wide range of A Level courses and have designed our options to give students choices that suit a range of study pathways. We recognise that each student is different and we are proud of the expert guidance provided to ensure each student achieves their full potential. In addition we encourage students to pursue an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). This is designed to give students an opportunity to develop the research skills which they will need as an undergraduate. Students have the freedom to choose a topic area and undertake an in depth investigation producing an extended project and a final presentation. Each students will be individually mentored by a dedicated subject specialist throughout the process. The EPQ is managed and coordinated by Miss J Hill.
The above guide needs to be to be read in conjunction with the arrangements for returning to school for students in September as some procedures will be different as a result of the restrictions. Further details will be available at induction on 4th September.
