Gifted & Talented

Gifted and Talented students are those who have one or more abilities developed to a level significantly ahead of their year group (or with the potential to develop these abilities). Here at Kings Langley we strongly support the needs of our students with a gift or talent in specific arenas, and have put together a complementary programme of activities for them to take part in beyond the classroom.

We aim to make this webpage a developed area of insight, inspiration and support for the students, parents and guardians of our gifted and talented students.

G&T @ KLS, what we offer:

A comprehensive and exciting programme of full and short courses and ongoing qualifications
A G&T summer school aimed at KS3
A webpage dedicated to G&T students and their parents
External workshops and masterclasses in conjunction with partnership schools and University of Hertfordshire

What can you do?

As parents/guardians of a gifted or talented child, you can support them in a variety of ways, such as taking them to museums and galleries and actively encouraging their hobbies, reading with them and developing their curiosity through questioning them. Gifted and Talented children enjoy interaction with both adults and their peers, so creating opportunities for them to interact in different situations should also be encouraged.
